Nexus, CRLT-Engin, and CAEN hosted a virtual mini Symposium on Engineering Teaching and Learning to help faculty prepare for the Winter 2021 semester. Description: CoE students surveyed in the Fall of 2020 reported being overwhelmed by the amount of work that the combination of synchronous and asynchronous expectations amounted to. In this interactive workshop, you will learn strategies to both estimate the total amount of time-on-task expected in your class, and clearly communicate those expectations to your students. After examining examples utilized by other engineering professors and discussing ideas with peers, you will develop your own strategy to apply in your courses. Please bring a draft of your syllabus to the session.
