Kevin DeHority

Manager, Continuous Improvement, Quality Department, Michigan Medicine
Kevin DeHority is a current member of Michigan Medicine’s Quality Leadership Team and is the former Lean Transformation Director for the Michigan Quality System.
Kevin is a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt and Lean Coach. He has spent the past 13 years with Michigan Medicine designing lean deployment models, implementing lean systems, and leading improvement teams across the organization.
He is also a regular instructor of 11 Lean themed courses at the University of Michigan including courses within the Medical School, College of Engineering’s Nexus group, and the School of Public Health’s Health Management and Policy programs.
Kevin co-created the first generation Daily Management System (DMS) in 2009 and is currently the Strategic Lead for DMS across Michigan Medicine. He also serves as the Chair of the annual Quality Month Symposium bringing teams together to network, share, and learn from one another.
Prior to Michigan Medicine, he spent 10 years with Ford Motor Company serving as a Lean Engineer and Manager helping to develop lean systems with Ford’s key supplier partners.
He holds a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Integrated Supply Management and a Master’s of Business Administration.
