Chris LaBelle received his Ed.D. in Educational Technology from Boise State University after completing a master’s degree in Applied Linguistics at UCLA. He is an expert in the field of online learning with over 25 years of experience in online learning in both higher education and private industry. In his last role as Executive Director and Associate Vice Provost at Colorado State University, he led CSU Online, an online enterprise with more than 50M in annual revenue, 50+ online programs and more than 100 employees and student workers. 
 
In the past he and his teams have earned several honors for their work in online education, including the Oregon State University Vice Provost Award for Excellence in Innovation in Online Noncredit Teaching. He also serves on the Changing Landscape of Online Education (CHLOE) advisory board. Chris has published in multiple journals and presented at conferences across the country. Prior to joining academia, LaBelle began his career developing national and international training programs for engineers at both Siemens and Netflix.
